While a student, Ms. Melis worked for a bilingual English and Spanish-speaking church in Nashville, completed a summer internship with a humanitarian organization in El Paso, TX, and studied abroad for a semester in Sevilla, Spain. Each of these experiences enriched their knowledge and appreciation for other cultures around the world and for the cultural diversity found in the United States.
