Ms. Sabrina Schroeder is currently an Associate Attorney at Liu & Associates, practicing exclusively immigration and nationality law. Prior to joining Liu & Associates, Ms. Schroeder was a Prehearing Research Attorney with the Michigan Court of Appeals. While at the Michigan Court of Appeals, she reviewed lower court files, wrote extensive research reports recommending the disposition of civil and criminal cases, and drafted court opinions for the appellate panel of judges.
During law school, Ms. Schroeder served as an Associate Editor of the Michigan State Law Review. She interned with Farmworker Legal Services where she organized two Naturalization Clinics in west Michigan to help low-income permanent residents become U.S. citizens, and visited migrant camps to inform farmworkers of their legal rights. She also represented and counseled refugees and asylees in the area of family-based immigration law with St. Vincent Catholic Charities’ Immigration Law Clinic. In addition, she interned for the Michigan Attorney General’s Office working on cases involving environmental and consumer protection law.
Before choosing to study law, Ms. Schroeder was a Program Officer for Colleagues International, an affiliate organization of the National Council for International Visitors and the Council of International Programs. As a Program Officer, she collaborated with the U.S. Department of State and other sponsoring agencies to create and implement exchange programs, such as the International Visitor Leadership, Open World, and Community Connections programs, for foreign adults who visited the United States to further their professional development by sharing best practices.
